The holiday season often brings connection and joy—but also pressure, exhaustion, and emotional strain. Workforce Wellness Recharge: Navigating the Holiday Stress Spectrum invites public health professionals to explore how holiday-related stress impacts well-being, relationships, and workplace culture. Participants will learn how to recognize where they fall on the Holiday Stress Spectrum, from healthy activation to harmful overload, and apply practical techniques to restore balance. Through trauma-informed reflection, storytelling, and holistic wellness tools, this interactive session helps participants build awareness, reduce burnout, and approach the holidays with renewed energy and compassion.
Lamarr Lewis, MA, LAPC, CPRP, is a dedicated public servant, mental wellness advocate, published author, and change agent. As a community-based practitioner, he has worked with such diverse groups as; individuals living with psychiatric disabilities, people in recovery, At-Hope (He does not use the term At-Risk) youth, and more. He tirelessly gives back to his community through homeless outreach initiatives, public speaking, mentoring, coaching, and finding ways to develop the next generation of leaders. He is an alumnus of Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, and received his master’s degree from Argosy University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He is currently a mental health therapist, trainer, and consultant. His lifelong mission is to leave the world better than when he found it.
Learning Objectives: By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Describe the Holiday Stress Spectrum.
- Identify common internal and external stressors that influence mood and functioning during the holiday season.
- Apply at least one stress-management/self-regulation strategy to maintain personal wellness throughout the holidays.
- Demonstrate trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches to supporting colleagues or clients experiencing holiday-related emotional challenges.
- Develop a personalized wellness plan (The Stress Recovery Map) to navigate seasonal stress while sustaining resilience in both professional and personal life.
